Summary
This is the JFSC's annual Fees Notice for 2026, setting out the fees payable to the Jersey Financial Services Commission for registry services and for regulated-entity applications, registrations and ongoing supervision. It applies for the period 1 January to 31 December 2026 (1 June to 31 May for Recognized Auditors), and covers both Companies Registry activities and all categories of JFSC-regulated business.
- Registry fees: Covers incorporation/registration processing fees, continuance, annual confirmation statements, post-registration notifications (change of particulars, special resolutions, mergers/demergers, winding up), amendment fees, value-added services, Business Names Registry and Security Interests Registry fees.
- Regulated entity fees: Sets application and annual fees for deposit-taking business, money service business, insurance business, general insurance mediation business, investment business, qualified segregated managed accounts, funds and fund services business, non-domiciled structures and unit trusts (non-fund), trust company business, Schedule 2 businesses (accountants, lawyers, other), and Recognized Auditors.
- Late fees: Prescribes escalating late fees for annual confirmation statements filed after end of February (sliding scale through September), late post-registration notifications (capped monthly penalty), and late delivery of accounts by public companies (escalating by months overdue).
- Maximum company charges: Publishes the maximum charges a company itself (not JFSC) may levy for supplying copies of constitutional documents or allowing inspection of registers.
The notice is purely a fee schedule; it does not itself change substantive regulatory requirements but tells regulated entities and Registry customers what they must pay and when late fees or penalties apply for missed statutory deadlines.
Key obligations
- Registered entities must submit an electronic annual confirmation statement and pay the applicable fee by the end of February each year, or incur escalating late fees through September.
- Entities must notify the JFSC/Registry of changes, errors or inaccuracies in significant person or beneficial owner information within 21 days (free if timely; £100 per month capped at £600 if late).
- Companies must notify appointment of a new nominated person within 21 days after a prior nominated person is revoked or resigns.
- Companies must deliver required documentation following special resolutions or agreements within 21 days of the effective date, or pay late fees (£77 if 21-60 days late, £159 if over 60 days late).
- Public or deemed public companies must deliver accounts under Article 108 of the Companies (Jersey) Law within the required period or pay escalating late filing fees based on how many months overdue.
- Deposit-takers undertaking a new operation after 1 January must calculate and notify the JFSC of a revised annual fee.
- Business name registrations must be renewed every three years with the applicable fee.
