Summary

This JFSC notice sets the application fees payable in relation to Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs) and AIF services business (AIFSB) for the 2025 fee year. It is issued under the Alternative Investment Funds (Jersey) Regulations 2012 and the Financial Services (Jersey) Law 1998, and applies to fees charged from 1 January to 31 December 2025. This notice has since been superseded by a later fees notice.

  • AIF application fee: A fee of £2,195 applies to applications for a certificate under the AIF Regulations for an AIF registered in Jersey (company, limited partnership or limited liability partnership) or a Jersey unit trust AIF.
  • AIF fee exemption: No application fee is payable if the AIF is a Certified Fund or a Recognized Fund.
  • AIF services business application fee: A fee of £2,195 applies to applications for registration under Article 2(11) of the FS(J)L to carry on Class ZL (Manager of an AIF) AIF services business.
  • AIFSB fee exemption: No application fee is payable where the applicant is already registered for one or more classes of fund services business under Article 2(10) of the FS(J)L, or is a Recognized Fund functionary, where the existing classes or functions match those of the AIF services business.

Key obligations

  • Pay an application fee of £2,195 when applying for an AIF certificate under the Regulations, unless the AIF is a Certified Fund or Recognized Fund.
  • Pay an application fee of £2,195 when applying for registration to carry on Class ZL (Manager of an AIF) AIF services business, unless already registered for equivalent fund services business classes or acting as a Recognized Fund functionary with matching functions.
