Summary
This notice sets out the fees payable by Recognized Auditors to the Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) under the Companies (Jersey) Law 1991, effective from 1 January 2025. It has since been superseded by a later fees notice, but the structure below reflects what it required while in force.
- Application fee: £1,405 payable with an application for registration as a recognized auditor.
- Annual fee: £1,055 payable by each recognized auditor on 1 June every year, due by the date specified on the JFSC invoice.
- Responsible individual notification fee: £120 payable with a notification of the designation of a responsible individual, except where notified as part of an initial registration application.
- Late payment fee: An additional 5% of the unpaid principal is charged if a fee is not paid by its due date, applied on the day after the due date and again on the first day of each subsequent calendar month.
- Late filing fee: £100 for each complete month or part month that a required document under the Law or related Orders remains unfiled, unless the JFSC has agreed in writing to a later filing date.
Key obligations
- Recognized auditors must pay an application fee of £1,405 when applying for registration.
- Recognized auditors must pay an annual fee of £1,055 each 1 June, by the due date stated on the JFSC invoice.
- Recognized auditors must pay a £120 fee when notifying the JFSC of the designation of a responsible individual (except where included in an initial registration application).
- Recognized auditors who fail to pay a fee by its due date must pay an additional 5% late payment fee, recurring monthly until paid.
- Recognized auditors who fail to file or deliver a required document by its due date must pay £100 for each complete month or part month of delay, unless the JFSC has agreed in writing to a later date.
