Issued 2020-04-14View on CIMA's website Source document
Summary
This is a public enforcement notice in which CIMA identifies a list of mutual funds that failed to satisfy the Authority's termination requirements after being struck off or dissolved at the Cayman Islands General Registry. As a result, these funds have been removed from CIMA's register of mutual funds, effective 15 April 2020.
- Lists registration numbers and names of 17 mutual funds removed from CIMA's register.
- Removal is a consequence of the entities having been struck off or dissolved without CIMA's termination procedures being properly completed.
- The notice is informational, confirming the removal action already taken by CIMA rather than announcing new rules.
The notice does not impose new ongoing compliance obligations on other regulated entities; it serves as public record of the deregistration of the named funds.
