Current version last checked: 2026-07-05

Summary

This is a short industry notice from the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA) announcing that its E-Reporting Portal has been temporarily closed for filings relating to funds with a financial year end from 31 December 2014 onwards. The closure is because the FAR (Fund Annual Return) form is being revised. As a result, auditors cannot access the Portal and are unable to submit audited financial statements and FAR forms for affected funds until further notice.

  • Who is affected: Funds and their auditors who would normally use the Portal to file audited financial statements and FAR forms.
  • Next steps: CIMA states it will issue a further advisory once the revised FAR form is ready and the Portal reopens.
  • Contact: Parties with questions are directed to contact the Investments and Securities Division.

This is purely an informational/operational notice about a temporary system outage; it does not itself create new substantive filing obligations, extend or shorten statutory deadlines, or change the underlying requirement to file audited financial statements and FAR forms once the Portal reopens.

Applies to

funds, auditors of funds

Deadlines

  • until further notice: Portal will remain closed for filings by funds with a financial year end from 31 December 2014 onwards until a revised FAR form is available and a further advisory is issued reopening the Portal.
