Summary

This is a general industry notice from CIMA announcing the release of a new 'Strix XBRL Overview User Guide.' The guide is intended to help regulated entities and the people who complete their regulatory returns ('form fillers') understand how to prepare return files and upload them to CIMA's Strix platform using XBRL formatting.

Strix is CIMA's platform for collecting and analysing Anti-Money Laundering (AML) data and conducting entity-level risk assessments. CIMA has added XBRL functionality to Strix, similar to what already exists on its REEFS platform, allowing an XBRL Instance file to auto-populate many fields in a return, which is meant to speed up recurring filings and reduce manual data-entry errors.

The notice is informational rather than a binding rule change: CIMA 'encourages' regulated entities to review the new guide and start incorporating the XBRL upload process into their reporting workflows, but the notice itself does not impose a new mandatory filing requirement, deadline, or change to existing return obligations.
