Summary

This is a purely internal/administrative notice from CIMA announcing changes to the titles of its senior leadership positions as part of an organisational restructuring. It has no regulatory effect on licensees or other regulated entities.

Effective 1 November 2024, several senior titles are renamed as follows:

  • Managing Director: Held by Mrs. Cindy Scotland, OBE, becomes Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
  • Deputy Managing Director – Supervision: Becomes Chief Supervision Officer.
  • Deputy Managing Director – Operations: Becomes Chief Operations Officer.
  • Deputy Managing Director – General Counsel: Becomes Chief Legal Affairs, Enforcement, AML/CFT Officer (Chief LEA Officer).

The notice states these are title changes only, intended to align with international best practices, and that stakeholders can continue to communicate with the leadership team as before. No new obligations, filing requirements, or deadlines are imposed on regulated entities.

Deadlines

  • November 1, 2024: Effective date on which CIMA's leadership title changes (Managing Director to CEO, and Deputy Managing Director titles to Chief Officer titles) take effect.
