Summary
This is a public fraud warning issued by the Jersey Financial Services Commission under Article 25(2) of the Financial Services (Jersey) Law 1998, alerting the public that the entity operating the website www.arran-funding.com is not registered or authorised to conduct financial service business in or from Jersey.
- Unauthorised activity: The Commission believes the Website's operator is carrying on or holding out that it carries on financial service business in Jersey without any authorisation, in breach of Article 7 of the Financial Services Law since 1 July 1999.
- Impersonation warning: There is a genuine, unrelated Arran Funding Limited incorporated and administered by Mourant in Jersey; the Website falsely uses that company's Jersey address (22 Grenville Street, St. Helier) and references Mourant employee names with no actual connection to them.
- Misleading content: The Commission states the Website provides false and misleading information and is not registered to conduct financial services business in or from Jersey.
- Public call to action: Anyone who has had dealings with the Arran Funding described on the Website is asked to contact the Commission's Enforcement Director.
This statement is purely a warning notice; it does not itself impose regulatory requirements on licensed businesses but flags a specific unauthorised entity for public awareness. It is over a year old, per the regulator's own notation.
Key obligations
- Any person who has had dealings with Arran Funding as described on www.arran-funding.com is requested to contact the Commission's Director of Enforcement.
