Summary
This is a public warning notice issued by the Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) identifying Vantage Underwriting as an unauthorised entity falsely posing as a Jersey investment business. - False association: The scam entity falsely purports to trade from a former address of the genuine, JFSC-authorised firm Vantage Limited and has no connection to Vantage Limited or the Vantage Group.
- Legal basis: Any investment business carried out by the scam entity, as defined in Article 2 of the FS(J)L, is in breach of Article 7 of the FS(J)L.
- Public action requested: Anyone who has dealt with the scam entity is asked to contact the JFSC; the public is reminded that all genuinely regulated businesses are listed on the JFSC website.
The notice is purely informational and warns against dealing with the named unauthorised entity; it imposes no continuing obligations on regulated firms beyond the general expectation not to deal with or facilitate unauthorised entities.
