Premium Mentor (the scam entity) (2024-10-23)

Summary

This is a public statement issued by the Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) warning the public about Premium Mentor, an unauthorised entity operating via the website www.premmentor.com, which is falsely purporting to conduct financial service business and Schedule 2 business from a Jersey address.

• No authorisation: Premium Mentor has never been registered or applied for registration under the Financial Services (Jersey) Law 1998 or the Proceeds of Crime (Supervisory Bodies) (Jersey) Law 2008.
• False address claim: The scam entity falsely claims to trade from 11 Bath Street, St Helier, Jersey, JE4 8UT and has no connection to the legitimate regulated entity Trident Trust Company Limited based at that address.
• Contravention: Any financial service business or Schedule 2 business carried on by the entity breaches Article 7 of the FS(J)L and Article 10 of the Supervisory Bodies Law.
• Fraud warning signs: JFSC documentation indicates the entity, website and email address show signs of being set up for fraudulent purposes.

The JFSC asks anyone who has had dealings with Premium Mentor to contact its Enforcement team, and reminds the public that all regulated businesses in Jersey are listed on the JFSC website.
