Summary

This is a public fraud warning issued by the Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) alerting the public that an entity calling itself LTIP Funding Company Limited, operating via a specific website, email address and social media pages, is falsely impersonating a genuine Jersey-registered company of the same name. The impersonating entity is purporting to carry on Schedule 2 lending business in or from Jersey without the required registration under the Proceeds of Crime (Supervisory Bodies) (Jersey) Law 2008.

  • Impersonation: The impersonating entity falsely claims to be, or to represent, the genuine Jersey registered entity LTIP Funding Company Limited (registration 153596), including falsely using its registered office address.
  • Unauthorised business: The impersonating entity is carrying on, or holding out as carrying on, Schedule 2 business (Lending) in or from Jersey without JFSC authorisation or registration, in breach of Article 10 of the Supervisory Bodies Law.
  • No connection to genuine entity: The JFSC confirms the website, email address and social media pages are not connected in any way to the genuine LTIP Funding Company Limited.
  • Fraud risk warning: The JFSC states the impersonating entity's online presence displays warning signs of being set up for fraudulent purposes.
  • Action for victims: Anyone who has had dealings with the impersonating entity via its website, email or social media is asked to contact the JFSC's Enforcement team.
