Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) · Jersey

Issued 2013-09-12

Current version last checked: 2026-07-11

Summary

This is a public statement issued by the Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) under Article 48(2) of the Banking Business (Jersey) Law 1991, warning the public that Access Finance PLC (trading via www.afplc-online.co.uk) is not authorised to conduct deposit-taking business in Jersey. The Commission states that Access has falsely claimed a Jersey address and appears to be carrying on, or holding itself out as carrying on, deposit-taking business without authorisation.

  • Unauthorised activity: Access has never been registered nor applied for registration under the Banking Business Law, so any deposit-taking business it has conducted since 1 October 1991 breaches Article 8 of that Law.
  • Fraud warning: Documentation held by the Commission indicates Access and its website display warning signs of being set up for a fraudulent purpose.
  • Public request: Anyone who has had dealings with Access is asked to contact the Commission, and the public is reminded that all regulated businesses in Jersey are listed on the Commission's website.
