Current version last checked: 2026-07-11

Summary

This is a public warning statement issued by the Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) alerting the public to an entity that is impersonating a genuine Jersey-registered business, A.F. Nominees Limited. The impersonating entity, operating via a specific website and email address, is not authorised or registered under Jersey's financial services or anti-money laundering supervisory laws and has falsely claimed a Jersey business address.

  • Impersonation: The entity behind the website afnomineeslimited.com and email info@afnomineesltd.com is impersonating the genuine A.F. Nominees Limited (based at Oriel House, York Lane, Jersey) and has no connection to it or its affiliation leader, Verite Trust Company Limited.
  • No authorisation: The impersonating entity has never applied for or received registration under the Financial Services (Jersey) Law 1998 or the Proceeds of Crime (Supervisory Bodies) (Jersey) Law 2008, and its purported financial service or Schedule 2 business activity breaches Article 7 of the FS(J)L and Article 10 of the Supervisory Bodies Law.
  • Fraud warning signs: The JFSC states that documentation relating to the impersonating entity, its website and email display warning signs of being set up for fraudulent purposes.

The notice is informational and protective rather than imposing continuing compliance duties on regulated firms. Members of the public who have dealt with the impersonating entity are asked to contact the JFSC's Enforcement team, and readers are reminded that genuine regulated businesses in Jersey are listed on the JFSC website.
