Summary
This is the JFSC's annual consultation paper setting out proposed fees for 2026, covering both Registry fees and fees for JFSC-regulated entities. It proposes a general 2.5% fee uplift, restructures the fee notices into a single consolidated document, and invites feedback before finalising fees to take effect from 1 January 2026.
- Structure: Registry fees and regulated entity fees are consolidated into one Fees Notice, with Registry fees grouped by activity rather than entity type and harmonised across legal persons and arrangements.
- General uplift: A 2.5% general fee increase is proposed, with some exceptions detailed sector by sector.
- Registry changes: Annual confirmation fees for ordinarily administered entities are not proposed to increase; continuance fees are harmonised (£1,200 leaving Jersey, £700 moving to Jersey); a new £500 fee is proposed for mergers/demergers of Jersey-incorporated companies; late fees are simplified to £100 per month capped at £600 (except annual confirmations, special resolutions and PLC account late fees, which remain tiered).
- AIF/AIFSB fees: Application fee proposed to reduce to £1,100 (from £2,195); a new annual fee of £1,100 is proposed for all in-scope AIFs/AIFSBs.
- MSB: Annual fee proposed to be pro-rated based on date of first registration.
- Investment business and trust company business: Change of control fees simplified to a flat fee by class of business rather than a percentage of share capital; a new fee proposed for adding a class of business.
- GIMB: Class S annual fee proposed at £100 as a new baseline; annual fee portion proposed to be pro-rated based on date of first registration.
- Funds: FSB, CIF, JPF and AIF/AIFSB fees are grouped into a single new 'Funds and funds service business' section; Jersey Private Funds moved out of the CoBO fees notice into this section.
- Late fees (regulated entities): Late fees for information/notifications across all regulated sectors proposed to be harmonised at £200 per month; late payment of invoices remains at 5% of unpaid principal per month.
Comments on the proposed fees can be submitted directly to the JFSC or via Jersey Finance Limited. The JFSC intends to publish a feedback statement and finalised Fees Notice by the end of September 2025, with revised fees effective from 1 January 2026.
