Amends Insider Dealing (Securities and Regulated Markets) Order, 1996 (Consolidated text)View on GFSC's website Source document
Summary
This is a short technical amendment to the Insider Dealing (Securities and Regulated Markets) Order 1996, made under the Company Securities (Insider Dealing) (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 1996. It updates the list of regulated markets on which insider dealing is prohibited, rather than creating new substantive obligations.
- Replaces entry: Paragraph (a) of section 10 is replaced to refer to the London Stock Exchange Limited.
- Adds market: Tradepoint Financial Networks plc is added as a new paragraph (d) in section 10.
- Removes exchanges: Deletes Bordeaux, Ghent, Liege, Lille, Marseille, Nancy and Nantes Stock Exchanges from the Schedule.
- Renames entry: Replaces the entry for The International Stock Exchange of the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland Limited with separate entries for the Iceland Stock Exchange and The Irish Stock Exchange Limited.
- Adds entries: Inserts new Schedule entries for The London Stock Exchange Limited, the exchange known as the Nouveau Marche, and Tradepoint Financial Networks plc.
The effect is simply to keep the official list of 'regulated markets' current, so that the existing statutory prohibition on insider dealing continues to apply correctly to trading on these updated exchanges. No new categories of duty or reporting requirement are introduced by this Order itself.
Applies to
persons dealing in securities on the specified regulated markets, investment exchanges listed in the Schedule to the 1996 Order
