Template - Assessing Controller Costs

Summary

This document is a blank Excel/PDF style template published by CIMA for use in controllership enforcement actions. It provides a standard table structure for breaking down a controller's professional fees and hours worked by activity category and by staff grade, over a specified reporting period.

• Activity categories: Appointment, notification and planning; control of assets and inventory; possession of books and records; accounting and financial information; and legal implications of litigation.
• Professional grades tracked: Partner, Director, Senior Manager, Manager, Senior Accountant, and Administrators, each with named individuals, hourly rates, fees and hours.
• Two linked schedules: One table analyses fee cost by activity by professional, and a second analyses hours spent by activity by professional, for the same reporting period.

The template contains no explanatory instructions or binding requirement text of its own; it is a reporting format apparently intended to be completed by a controller appointed over a regulated entity as part of demonstrating or justifying controllership costs to CIMA.
