Form
Declaration of Source of Wealth & Source of Funds Form
Status not confirmedView on CIMA's website Source document
Summary
This document is a standard CIMA form used to collect a declaration of an applicant's source of wealth and source of funds as part of the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority's due diligence process. It is not a regulation or policy statement but a fillable form that applicants complete and submit to CIMA to satisfy the Authority's regulatory requirement to verify the legitimacy of funds and wealth associated with an application.
- Part A: The applicant(s) declare the source of their wealth.
- Part B: The applicant(s) declare the source of their funds.
- Confirmation: The applicant(s) must confirm that the declared funds are derived from legitimate sources.
- Evidence: The applicant(s) agree to provide documentary evidence if CIMA requests it.
- Signature: The applicant(s) must sign and date the declaration confirming the details are true.
Because this is a fill-in form rather than a rule or notice, it does not itself state to whom it applies beyond referring generically to 'an applicant.' It is presumably issued to individuals or entities applying for a CIMA licence, registration, or approval where source of wealth/funds verification is part of the application process.
