Summary

This is a short technical guidance note from the BVI International Tax Authority (ITA) explaining the step-by-step process for paying agents to prepare and submit EU Savings Directive (EUSD) disclosure forms electronically. It does not create new reporting obligations but sets out the required file-naming, encryption and transmission procedure for existing EUSD reporting.

  • File naming: Save the downloaded form as [Paying Agent's Name] EUSD Savings Disclosure [Reporting Year].
  • Completing the form: Enter data following the Guidance Notes on Automatic Exchange of Information under the EU Savings Directive.
  • Protecting the worksheet: Use the Review tab to Protect Sheet, ensure protection of the worksheet and locked cells, and set a password.
  • Encrypting the file: Zip the form using WinZip or PKZip (or Windows' built-in Compress/Add a Password feature if those programs are unavailable) and secure it with a password.
  • Submission: Forward the encrypted, password-protected zip file to BVIITA@gov.vg.
