Summary

Form R320 is a BVI Financial Services Commission Registry of Corporate Affairs form used by a company (through its registered agent) to apply to add a new foreign character name or change an existing foreign character name under section 20 of the BVI Business Companies Act, 2004. It is a supporting form filed alongside another application, not a standalone filing.

  • Company details: Requires the BVI Company Number, transaction date, company name (or proposed name if part of an incorporation), and the registered agent's name and address.
  • Linked application: The filer must indicate which primary application this form accompanies: Application for Incorporation (R101), Application for Re-Registration (R110), Application for Change of Name (R310), or Amendment of Memorandum and/or Articles of Association (R201).
  • Foreign character name details: The proposed foreign character name and its language must be stated, and a certified translation must be attached.
  • Graphic submission: An electronic copy of the foreign character name, on a plain background in high resolution graphic format, must be emailed to the Registry of Corporate Affairs at bvibca@bvifsc.vg.
  • Signature: The form must be signed on behalf of the company by an authorised signatory of the registered agent, with the signatory's name printed.

The Registrar notes it has no duty to verify the form's contents or that the company's Memorandum and Articles authorise the matters contained in it.
