Summary

The BMA has published a Consultation Paper proposing new regulations that would enhance disclosure, oversight and regulation of fees banks charge customers. This is a precursor to Ministerial Regulations (The Banks and Deposit Companies Fee Regulations 2026) to be made by the Minister of Finance under section 60 of the Banks and Deposit Companies Act 1999.
